The brief, the light, the result
Oreade’s brief was one sentence: make it look like the product works, without making it look like a filter. That ruled out the usual beauty grade, so we built the light to do the flattering and kept the retouching to dust, stray hairs and colour.
Four models, one beauty dish, a white V-flat under the chin and two strip boxes behind for separation. We shot at f/8 so the whole face held focus at 100 mm, then cropped each frame fourteen ways for packaging, retail light boxes and paid social.
The launch visual replaced a heavily retouched predecessor. In its first month it drew 2.4 times the click-through, and the comments were about the skin, not the editing.
