and why

01

What we collect

When you send a brief we keep your name, email, brand, the details you write and the date you asked about. When you subscribe to Lighting notes we keep your email address and nothing else.

02

Why we keep it

To reply to your brief, to plan and quote a shoot, and to send the monthly newsletter you asked for. We do not sell, rent or share it with advertisers.

03

How long

Briefs that do not become shoots are deleted after 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as French accounting law requires. Newsletter addresses are deleted the day you unsubscribe.

04

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete anything we hold about you. Write to hello@halven.studio and we will reply within 30 days.

The questions brands and agencies ask us most, before the first call.

With a twenty-minute call. We ask about the product, the date, where the images will run and what has not worked before. If it fits, you get a one-page treatment and a quote within two working days.

Both. About half our work comes through agencies. We slot into their production schedule, and we are happy to work to their art direction and lighting references.

The photographer, a first assistant, the studio, our lighting kit, tethering, a producer and a first-pass grade on selected frames. Hair, make-up, styling, casting and locations are quoted separately at cost.

As many as the brief needs. A full studio day typically yields 25 to 40 finished images. Every frame is shot tethered, so you choose your selects on set.

You receive a licence for the uses, markets and period in your brief, usually 12 or 24 months. Extensions are a single line on an invoice, and we never charge for internal or archival use.

Yes. We light once for both and alternate takes, which usually costs about 40% more than a stills day and saves a second shoot.

Four to six weeks for a campaign. Content days can often be booked two weeks out. Rush work is possible; ask.

No pitch deck. A conversation.
Every shoot starts with a twenty-minute call about the product, the date and the light.
