The brief, the light, the result
Aster needed a film and a stills campaign on a budget meant for one. We lit the set once, for both: continuous daylight through silk that works for video and is bright enough to shoot stills at 1/500.
The camera team and the stills team worked in alternating takes, each with their own monitor, so neither waited more than a minute.
One day produced a 30-second hero film, its 15- and 6-second cuts, and sixty finished stills in the same grade.
